Hi- I wanted to post pictures from our visit to Pembroke in Giles Co yesterday. We had a lovely service at dad's boyhood church, visited his old home and showed Noah and Lud the cemetery where Grandpa and Grandma Kidd are buried.
Dad's church was wonderful- the people were very nice and the singing was wonderful. You can't beat those old hymns! Dad, his brothers Dan and Mike and childhood friend sang Amazing Grace. Later, Dad, his brothers and two nieces Brenda and Cindy sang I'll Fly Away. It was amazing!
Later, we drove down the dirt road to dad's home in Rye Hollow. As you can see, the home is very dilapidated but it brought back the memories for Dad.
Then we went to the cemetery. To be a cemetery, it really is pretty!
